Oilfield Locator

Overview

Oilfield Locator (“the app”) shows public oil and gas well and facility locations for New Mexico and Texas. No account is required. The app does not include ads.

Location

If you allow it, the app uses approximate and precise location on your device to center the map and show distance to a site. Location is optional.

• The app does not upload your GPS coordinates to Oilfield Locator servers.
• Location is not sold and is not used for advertising.
• You can deny or revoke location in Android settings; search and the map still work.

On-device data

Favorites and recent sites (name, API number, coordinates) are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage removes them.

Map tiles

When you are online, the app requests map images from the tile provider (Esri). Those requests are normal map-tile downloads, not a sale of your location.

Data sources

Well and facility records come from public NM OCD, TX RRC, and HIFLD GIS. They are informational and not a legal survey.
